And 3

First of all, thank you for the supportive emails after Tuesday's post. I have had a plethora of internet issues and will continue to get back to everyone over the next few days.

Second, the week got very, very busy in a terrifically positive way. I can't discuss details just yet, but it's all good, all forward moving stuff.

Third, today marks three years since Connor's surgery. I know that for him, the date and three year mark mean very little, but for the rest of us it is another tiny step away from that horrible time.

This morning, I was just blocks away from the hospital and I drove right by the house I lived in until I was 7, past my first tiny, all by myself apartment and even by the place I lived in as a newlywed. It was nostalgic and sweet and I found myself thinking about my father, for no particular reason.

An hour later, his younger brother called to let me know that the oldest brother had died peacefully this morning, at the age of 93. Spooky, but maybe not.

Anyway, things are good, even if every single day has gotten hijacked by this new, secret venture.

I have flunked in the February Finishing goals I made only to myself, but I guess it's okay. I do plan to join in for March's Origami Madness by knitting slippers or some-such, plus I have a hat to show off and there might be a sock. This month will be a good one.
