I have just returned from taking Connor for a quick checkup with our Dr. P.
Coincidentally, today is 3 years to the day since we first heard Juvenile Nasopharangeal Angiofibroma.
Dr. P. scoped Connor's left sinus cavity and pronounced it "pristine" and said that it was perfectly healed, although he would still like a CT later in the year.
While we were waiting for the appointment, Connor said that he never thinks of the tumor and I realized that I don't think about it much either.
Connor goes back to school next Sunday and he will take very little worry with him, so this is a good note to be ending the year on.
The rest of us are fine too. The snow removal has not been an issue - I never even thought to get a boy up to shovel the other morning because it was dark and there really was little time to train Griff on using the Toro. Our neighbor, my little Master G's father, came over that afternoon and cleared everything down to the pavement for us and the snow that we've had since has been easy to deal with.
I'm sure I was just dehydrated, since I always wake up parched due to the meds I have to take, so I've been keeping water in reach. My bloodsugar tends to be highest in the morning than it is the rest of the day, also thanks to the meds, but I'll talk to a doctor about it.
Griffin has been snowboarding and sledding and is still working on his epic paper for Brit Lit Honors. He has bonded with his new ipad mini and has promised me a self portrait a day in 2013.
I finished another scarfy thing but have had lousy light for photos and I'm back at work on a sweater that could be done soon. I have received a refund for the buttons that never showed for the other sweater, but won't have a chance to look for new buttons for a few days.
This evening will be quiet, I'm going to throw together a meal at some point, but that's about it.
Tomorrow I will try to sleep in a little bit since Wednesday shifts back to the 6AM wakeup call and chemo. I'm also going to try to straighten out the problem I'm having with my gmail - if you hear shouting, carry on.
Happy New Year all!
Pristine is really an underrated word, isn't it? I couldn't imagine a better one.
xoxo, let's have your medical report say that next year, please.

That's great news from the doctor. Quiet times are a good thing. Hope you don't get any more great dumpings of snow.

Quiet is good. Life is good. Happy New Year. (And I'm so happy to hear the good news about Connor. Wonderful start to the new year.)

Yeah for Conner! Check on that med thing. My Neuro (and the hospital Neuro) didn't know my med caused high blood sugar. It's an immune suppressant and a form of chemo. Something about the pancreas being affected. I hope you get it all straightened out.

I'm glad you're resting. (I know how hard that is to do!) and glad you are feeling better. I'm hoping 2013 is full of negative test results for you.
