Connor has a CT scan scheduled tomorrow morning. This is part of his annual follow up, last year was the baseline, but he is now at the point where recurrent disease might be visable. These tumors are mostly slow growing, but since they are so rare, it's hard to predict and very frustrating.
Connor is coming off a nasty head cold*, a grueling push to finish the semester and looks too skinny to me, so I am a little more apprehensive than I was last year.
It is delightful to have him home, although I do not understand why he brought so many pieces of clothing that may or may not be clean. He does not want this scan because of the IV, but he also wants it behind him so he can enjoy the rest of the break.
Please think of him if you can.
* After 2 days of questioning, he revealed the left sided nose bleeds he had while his head was stuffed up.
Sending prayers for good results on the CT.

College boys who are working hard and loving their school are the ones who forget to eat. (Or possibly, they eat but their passions burn off all the fuel and then some.) Stuff him with all manner of home cooking! And good, over-quickly thoughts for tomorrow.

Good thoughts and prayers are on the way for all of you.
I think the laundry thing is something they teach them in college;) My daughter does the same thing.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Ask them to give him a little something to numb the IV site before they start it. The doctors around here will mostly try to talk you out of it, claiming the shot they give to numb hurts, but that's never been my experience. When I get it I don't feel the IV at all.

Sending many good wishes for Connor and hugs for you. As you said, it is good that he will get this over with and then go on to enjoy the rest of his break.

Sending all kinds of clean CT mojo, and fingers crossed that maybe the nose bleed is just from indoor heat causing dry air and dry mucus membranes!!

Two days of intensive interrogation and he probably let that slip. /grinds teeth. Why must they be so worrisome when they're trying not to worry?
But pfft. It will all be fine. Definitely keeping him in my prayers.

Thinking of your boy .....

Oh gosh I'm so sorry you have to worry about it, but I'm keeping a good thought for you and Connor too. I wanna say that nosebleeds during a stuffy nose aren't uncommon, but honestly I know that there's nothing that can be said to alleviate the worry.
We'll pray here!

I remember when Emily had her first few yearly scans after her tumor removal. It's hard to stay calm. I'll be thinking of you all today and thinking positive tumor-free thoughts.

Thinking of you all today. And the laundry thing sounds perfectly normal.

Hate those type of scans. My thoughts are with you and Connor. Hoping that it's just the stress of semester end and the cold and cold air causing the nose bleeds and that you will get a clean bill of health.
Positive thoughts. Hoping it's horses not zebras.

I'm late with my wishes, but my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I wish I could help with the laundry conundrum, but after watching 4 children come and go with laundry I have no words of wisdom or understanding to offer. I just am always sure to have plenty of detergent on hand.

We continue to pray for Connor's health.
