Bluebird is the new Swallowtail.
I predict that this one will be lovingly knit by knitters everywhere.
And that I will knit it more than once.
Today's progress (so far):
Next I will undo the provisional cast on and knit the main body of the stole before knitting another border like the one above.
I must come clean and admit that until I stumbled on this pattern, I was worried that my knitting mojo was packing it's bags (and leaving just like my boy's did), but I now know that it's not going anywhere for the duration.
In other bird watch news, the lady ducks are remarkably tame and approachable:
I was about four feet away and had a barking dog at my side when I took this picture.
But that dog didn't bark for long, once we went inside, the clouds rolled in and she started to quiver:
The lady ducks got wet:
And the dog went from quivering to this:
Lilly would like the thunderstorms to stop so that happy lace knitting can continue.
Hmmm...the next Swallowtail, eh? I must look into this.

Poor Lilly. What a sad little face.

And I have managed to not make one swallowtail, yet. Maybe I'll move directly onto bluebird. I've never done anything with beads....

Oh, poor Lily. I hope it didn't last too long.
Bluebird looks like a winner! Maybe that's what I need to get my mojo back...

Oh, poor, beautiful Lilly! Have you ever looked at the "Through a Dog's Ear" CDs? They can be helpful.

Poor sweet Lilly, I hope the rain/storms clear out for a week or so, just to give her a break.
The lady ducks are so pretty, that bit of blue is so striking.
hmmm, bluebird the new swallowtail, eh? 'tis beautiful.

Poor Lilly. She looks so scard. She can come here. No rain, no thunder. We do have ducks though.
Yay for rediscovering your knitting mojo! Bluebird does have a really nice patterning.

Yeah, but can you knit it four days. ;^)
Love the duckies. Hug the doggie for me. Poor thing.

Oh the poor sad thing. Love the duck photo, though, and would nearly kill for some thunderstorms. Maybe if I off Rick and Becky and move into their place? I promise the only fliers you'll get will invite you to coffee/tea/cookies and knitting.

Lily looks sooooo forlorn in that first photo. Our senior dog used to get terribly upset at thunder and fireworks and hunting season. Then she became mostly deaf. Problem solved.

You sold me! I went and purchased this pattern on Ravelry...your workmanship is so beautiful and I'm constantly amazed at the speed at which you knit your lace shawls.
