Two of my BBFF's (best blog friends forever) gave me the same award in recent weeks:
Thank you Maria and Becky for the honor. You both make my day too. It's funny how my life and knitting have been shaped by this community, I carry so many people around with me everyday.
The awards rules are simple, pick 10 people who make your day, nominate them and let them know they should pass it on and be prepared to be nominated more than once.
My list is more or less as follows:
1) Cookie - she makes my day, week, year, life but giving this to her may make her cranky, watch out.
2) Janet - one of my oldest blog friends and someone who has helped me calm down a bit and just breathe sometimes.
3) Carrie - if only for the warming pictures alone but also for her seeming willingness to break laws on my behalf.
4) Carrie K - proof that you can love far and wide but never lose track of where you are, she makes everyone's day.
5) Wanda - I'd go to Denver to see her long before I'd go there to see my brother in law.
6) Ally B - She lives with the Saint, but I think she is one herself.
7) Ruth - I love Ruth but just a glimpse of the Woolybabe makes my day.
8) Cindy - She bought the Gloria kit after seeing mine and has struggled with it but is still speaking to me.
9) Nora - A new friend but this is the start of something good.
10) Donna Lee - She's knitting lace, enough said.
And as said, I would count Becky and Maria as real day makers. Becky's irreverence and puppy/husband tales are delightful and she knows how to keep me going and Maria, the WIP project has restored my focus, I actually think I may learn how to stop juggling so much stuff this year since I'm putting it all out there.
And speaking of putting it all out there, Norah Gaughan has commented on my stalled Ram's Horn Jacket. Her advice helps and I had already decided that this sweater deserves to be finished sooner rather than later. Tonight I'm going to seam the fronts and backs and figure out the front bands. Over the next week I'll try to redo the collar and then it's only sleeves. I'm also past the half way point of the Alpine Lace (Cookie has more repeats, but mine is longer?) and that too should get done soon.
I'm still exhausted from yesterday's outing but I'm grounding myself until Thursday.

Thanks so much for the award! You're the best!

Aw, thanks! And in such great company and right after I try to smush Hezekiah with the garage door.
Norah Gaughan gave you advice? That is soooo cool.

I'm so flattered! Thank you so much ...

1. please to share the Norah comment and all details!
2. thanks!
3. I'm looking for just the right shawl and the right yarn to use with the beautiful Jane Addams yarn that you gave me. Wing o' the Moth or Icarus? and what kind of merino are you using with yours, and is there a good something in a DK weight that will work with the roses and greens?
4. thanks again!

Well, shut me up. Thanks, Joan - and you'd best prepare to have this one circle back on you more than once, because you're a true gem!

HAhahahahahahahahaha I totally would, too, but only if you waited to blog it until after I'd changed my name and dyed my hair to avoid the authorities.
Thanks.
(And wow, Nora Gaughan commented on your blog!)
